I’m Talisker Scott Hunter, a freelance journalist and illustrator.

I love my trade because it allows me to be a professional enthusiast—jumping from topic to topic, challenging my assumptions, and constantly learning. I’m now based in India, writing and painting.

I share the values and adhere to the standards of integrity outlined in the New York Times Ethical Journalism Handbook. This includes clearly identifying myself as a reporter for whichever publication I’m working for, checking and re-checking facts, remaining impartial, examining my own biases, and refusing transactions for access, interviews, or information.
